STAFF AT WALLACE CANCER CARE
Pat Westcott: Drop-in Centre and hospital outreach Co-ordinator
Pat, with over 20 years of nursing experience behind her, was working as a Breast Nurse Practitioner to Dr Charles Wilson, Clinical Lead in Oncology when recruited to Wallace Cancer Care in 2004. She trained in oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, and subsequently worked in the radiotherapy, gynaecology and chemotherapy departments before becoming Breast Nurse Practitioner in 1999. Pat brings a wealth of experience in all areas of cancer care to her role, as well as counselling skills and a warm and caring manner.
Maggie Fowler: Drop-in Centre and hospital outreach Co-ordinator
Maggie joined Wallace Cancer Care one day a week in the latter part of 2005 while she continued to work part-time as a Senior Staff Nurse in Palliative Oncology at Addenbrooke’s. Maggie left Addenbrooke’s and joined Pat on a full job share just under a year later. Maggie also has over 20 years nursing experience having worked in midwifery and geriatrics before specializing in Palliative care. Her qualifications in Palliative care and care of the dying are supported by strong counselling qualifications, and great compassion and understanding for those seeking her help.
Sue Potts: Director of Complementary Care at 7 Red Cross Lane
Sue’s background is in counselling, bereavement and family support. She has post-graduate conselling qualifications from the University of Cambridge as well as an array of additional qualifications in bereavement and working with children. She joined Wallace Cancer Care from East Anglian Children’s Hospice in 2007, and is also qualified in therapeutic massage. Sue develops and manages the programme of individual complementary therapies delivered by a highly qualified and experienced team of part time complementary therapists.
Amanda Bloomfield and Katie Crawford do the administration and help with fundraising.
